One of my Christmas presents to my horses was the lovely NAF gift box which I purchased from VioVet. The box contained several items (which I’ll try to review as well). One of the items was the Cleanse and Condition leather spray. I love NAF products so was really keen to have a test!

The NAF 5 star Cleanse and condition can be used on all leather types to clean and condition your tack. Remember to do a product test if you are unsure before use. It’s really simple to use by either spraying some onto a sponge or cloth or spraying directly onto the leather.

My Experience

This was my first time using a product from the NAF leather range so I was a little unsure to start with as I haven’t changed my leather cleaning products for years! I started by giving my tack a wipe over with some warm water and a damp sponge to get rid of all the grease. For my bridle I sprayed some product onto a sponge (a little goes a long way) and worked it into the leather. I could see an immediate difference in my tack, it was very soft and has a lovely shine. For my saddle I sprayed it directly onto my saddle after giving it a wipe over with a damp sponge. I had no issues with the product itself on three different types of leather, including my navy De Niro riding boots. All my tack looked amazing and ready for my show the next day!

Pros

• Simple and easy to use
• Resealable
• The product has a gorgeous smell! Almost like coconut
• Gives a fantastic results on a wide range of leather types
• Isn’t sticky
• Doesn’t make leather slippery
• A little goes a long way with this product which is brilliant

Cons

• At first I found the seal a bit difficult to open cause I’d not came across a seal like this before. Once you get the idea of it it’s really easy to open and close though

Other than the above I really can’t fault this product. After one use I’m definitely converted!

Review

I love how good and healthy my tack looks after just one use. It made such a difference to my long riding boots which really don’t get cleaned enough. The leather is already very soft but it felt even softer and really healthy. The next day they still had a fantastic shine without having to buff the product. I jumped two rounds in the and then turned Dino out in them when we got back. Other than a some dust on them from the arena surface they still looked good! Usually they look really dull after a ride.

Conclusion

I will definitely be using the NAF 5 star Cleanse and condition again as well as other products available in the NAF 5 star leather care range. So far I have never been disappointed in a product by NAF and I can’t recommend them enough to you all.
