I found the company Donkey Donuts on Instagram about a week ago and couldn’t resist buying the horses a box.

These treats are unlike any I have seen before that are sold in the UK! They are all individually decorated each box having a different theme. They were designed for fussy horses making them ideal for any horse as a special treat.

Before I get into what the horses thought I really want to talk to you all about how brilliant these guys service was. I ordered a box on Thursday morning and they arrived in my post box Friday morning, yeah the next day without even paying for next day delivery!!!! I thought they’d take a week at least for them to make them up and send them out as there website does say it takes up to 10 days so was pleasantly surprised when I got them so quick.

So Saturday morning they make their first appearance on the yard with Maisie being the first to try them out. Maisie isn’t a fussy eater at all🐷 and no surprise she loved them! Next Dino got a taste, he can be a little fussy with new feed/treats but again he couldn’t get enough of them. Millie who is probably the fussiest on the yard had no objections to them at all and finally we come to Basil who will eat anything and everything so of course hs loved them😍

I loved how far one donut went. They are quite big but not so big you wouldn’t want to give them a whole one. As it was just training at home (and to give the others a taste) I gave Maisie about half of the donut and split the other half with the other three who all got a good share. So one donut fed four horses!

The smell of the donuts is absolutely divine, they actually smell like donuts 🍩 Decoration wise I haven’t seen horse treats like this in the UK! They are all iced and decorated with sprinkles and glitter. I bought the unicorn pack which is a pack of six, five were decorated and one was undecorated. The amount of detail and time that’s has gone into the decoration is outstanding! One donut is an actual unicorn which has clearly taken a lot of time to get perfect and one of the others had iced rainbows and a unicorn head on it.

My horses all loved the Donkey Donuts treats and I found them really good value for money. The quality is outstanding I’m all aspects. The packaging is really cute and practical and I think it makes the company really stand out as not many brands of treats have really appealing packaging. The donuts themselves are so good you could eat them yourself if you wanted to.

I’m so happy I found this company as they are definitely going to get many more orders from myself for my horses and I can see myself using them when I need to get a horsey friend a present.
